Privacy Policy

Last reviewed 2026-08-08. This policy describes what ClaudeHow collects, why, and which third-party services process it. It names the actual, specific services this site is built on and reflects the real behaviour of this codebase, not a generic template written before launch.

What we collect directly

The contact form and the newsletter signup are the only places you can voluntarily give us information: a name and email address, and whatever you write in the message field. We use it to reply to you and, if you opt in separately, to send the newsletter. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside the service providers named below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether a page is working. GA4 uses cookies and collects data such as your IP address (processed by Google, not stored by us in raw form), device type, and pages visited. It does not receive your name or email unless you separately submit them elsewhere on the site. We also use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-preserving pageview and performance metric collected without a persistent visitor identifier.

Email (Brevo)

If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is stored with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), the email service provider we use to send it. Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately. We do not add an address to the list without an explicit opt-in action from you.

Payments (Stripe)

The paid product and the optional donation both use Stripe to process payment. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that entirely, under its own PCI-compliant infrastructure and its own privacy policy. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount, so we can deliver the product.

Contact form (Formspree)

The contact form on /contact/ is submitted via Formspree, a form-handling service that relays the message to our inbox. Formspree retains submitted messages under its own retention policy; we do not additionally store form submissions on our own servers.

If and when this site serves Google AdSense advertising, AdSense may use cookies to personalise the ads shown to you based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control ad personalisation through Google's My Ad Center or opt out of personalised advertising generally via aboutads.info. Advertising, if present, will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and is never placed on a calculator's result pane, on the support page, or on the product or checkout pages.

What stays entirely in your browser

The usage tracker tool stores anything you log — your usage entries, or pasted usage blocks from API responses — in your browser's localStorage only. Nothing you enter into that tool is transmitted to our servers or to any third party. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently; we have no copy.

Search-engine notification (IndexNow)

We use the IndexNow protocol to notify Bing and Yandex when a page is published or updated. This sends only the page URL, never any visitor or personal data.

Your choices

You can decline cookies via your browser settings, use an ad blocker, or use the ad-personalisation opt-outs linked above. Declining analytics or advertising cookies does not affect your ability to use any calculator or read any page on this site — every tool works entirely without them.
